Samsung released the November 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 last week. However, the update was limited to the global model of the foldable smartphone. Now, the company has released the November 2023 security update to the factory-unlocked and carrier-locked models of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US.
The carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is getting the new security update with firmware version F926USQS4GWK2. It is available on Metro PCS and T-Mobile networks in the US. The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is also getting the new update, and it is available on AT&T and DISH networks in the country. It comes with firmware version F926U1UES4GWK1.
According to Samsung's security bulletin, the November 2023 security patch fixes 65 security flaws found in the previous software version. The new update doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements, and you can expect dozens of new features to come as a part of the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 software that will be released to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 before the end of this year.
If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US, you can check for the new security update right now. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.
Author's Note: This could be the last minor software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 before the big Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update that will be released to the foldable smartphone. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has already received the One UI 6.0 beta update in some markets, and the stable update won't be too far away from now.
