It's not often you see giant social media platforms see any form of downtime, but that's exactly what is happening today with the Facebook-owned Instagram. Reports from all over the world are floating in that the Instagram app for Android and iOS and the website isn't accessible at this time, so if you can't access it on your Galaxy phone, know that you're not alone.
Facebook and WhatsApp are said to be working fine, but Instagram has been on and off for many users for the past few hours. The issue seems to be affecting Indian users the most, though reports have been floating in from other markets as well. The downtime is affecting all functionality, from setting up a new account to sending private messages and checking out stories.
Your mileage will vary, but again, if Instagram isn't currently working for you, it's something wrong with the service and not with your device or internet connection. Instagram hasn't made any official statements about the outage, and we wager the service will be up and running before the company gets around to doing that.
