Last month, Samsung rolled out the May 2023 security patch to the 4G variant of the Galaxy A13 for Latin America (SM-A135M). Today, the company is delivering the latest security update to the international variant of the Galaxy A13 4G (SM-A135F) and the Galaxy A13 5G (SM-A136B).
The new software update for the Galaxy A13 4G carries the firmware version A135FXXU4CWE5, whereas the one for the Galaxy A13 5G comes with firmware version A136BXXS4CWE1. The latest firmware offers May 2023 security patch that fixes more than 70 security flaws. The new update for the Galaxy A13 4G is currently rolling out in Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine, and that for the Galaxy A13 5G is currently available in Thailand. Other countries should also get the new update soon.
If your Galaxy A13 hasn’t already notified you about the latest software update, you should try checking for the new firmware manually. You can do that by going to Settings » Software update and clicking on the Download and install button. If you still don’t see anything, you will have to wait for a few days to get the update, as Samsung might be rolling it out in phases. But if you can’t wait to get your hands on the new software, you can download the latest firmware from our database and flash it manually using Odin.
The Galaxy A13 5G was launched in December 2021, and the Galaxy A13 4G came out in March 2022. While the 5G model came with Android 11 (One UI 3.1), the LTE variant made its debut with Android 12 (One UI 4.1). Samsung has updated both devices to Android 13 (One UI 5.1). Considering that Galaxy A13 5G has already received two versions of Android, it might not get Android 14 (One UI 6.0). The Galaxy A13 4G, on the other hand, might get the next version of Android when it arrives later this year.
