It was a big achievement for Apple TV Plus to get Jon Stewart to host a political news talk show after he had left The Daily Show. It was particularly important as Apple TV Plus was only just establishing its slate of original content at that time, and having a name as highly regarded as Jon Stewart's brought great prestige to the service.

However, it seems that after two seasons together, the two have decided to part ways. A new report today highlights that the Jon Stewart show on Apple TV Plus, titled The Problem with Jon Stewart, has been canceled due to creative differences. This means you will no longer find new episodes in the Apple TV Plus app on your Samsung TV.

Jon Stewart is out of a show again

Production on the third season was due to begin in the near future but The New York Times is now reporting that the show has been canceled due to “creative differences” between Stewart and Apple.

The report adds that Apple had concerns with the some topics of discussion, particularly those relating to artificial intelligence and China. There was also reportedly concerns about some of the guests that had been booked to appear on the show.

New episodes of the show were slated to begin shooting in a few weeks but staffers at the show found out yesterday that production has been halted. The Hollywood Reporter further adds that before deciding to cancel the show, Apple reached out to Stewart directly to see if the show could be aligned with the company's views otherwise it would be canceled. Stewart apparently decided against falling in line and felt it was right to walk away.
