Samsung has been very quick to release the latest security update for its devices recently. A few have already received the May 2021 security patch even before it was detailed. The company has been doing a great job in this department.
Its flagship phones are often the first to receive these updates. So it's not surprising to see that the May security update has now been rolled out for the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 picks up the latest security update
The Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S20 series were among the first devices to get the May 2021 security patch. Samsung has now rolled out its latest security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Since the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is already on the latest version of One UI, there's not much in the way of new features that this update brings. It applies all of the security fixes that are included in the May 2021 patch.
The changelog does mention that the camera performance and Quick Share have been improved. The dual recording feature has been added. It was also made available to the Galaxy S20 series with the previous update. The feature enables users to record with both the front and rear cameras at the same time.
The company is rolling out firmware version F916BXXU1DUDA for the Galaxy Z Fold 2. It has been sent out over-the-air in Germany. Users elsewhere shouldn't worry, the update will be going live in their region very soon as well.
