The US is a very lucrative market for TV manufacturers. It's a premium market where products can fetch top dollar. Market research indicates that the US accounts for almost 30% of global TV shipments priced at $1,500 and nearly 31% for those priced above $2,500.

Samsung remains a dominant brand in the market but given its past aversion to OLED TVs, it has lost that ground to its fellow Korean rival. LG has swept Consumer Reports' latest TV reports, with its OLED Evo models grabbing all of the top ten spots. Samsung is further down the list than you'd image.

LG top the list in the US with its OLED EVO TVs

Consumer Reports is an influential buyer's guide that customers in the US rely upon. The latest report shows that all of the top ten rated TVs scored 88 points or higher, with LG's OLED EVO 64 models in 55, 65, and 77-inch sizes received 90 points each. These are the highest points any TV has won since 2019. A total of 400 TVs were evaluated to compile this list.

Beyond the top ten, there were 17 products that scored 87 points or higher, and 13 of them were also LG OLED TVs. Samsung only accounted for the remaining four spots, with its 65 and 77-inch S90D and S90DD models.

This goes to show that the all-out efforts LG has made to grab a bigger share of the premium TV market have paid off, to the point where it's been able to keep Samsung OLED TVs in a distant second place. It would certainly give Samsung some cause of concern as it can't have the premium US TV market slipping out of its hand.
