Mysterious album art issues fixed by new Samsung Music update

A new update for Samsung Music is now available. It's nothing big, but it does fix one visual issue regarding album artwork.

Samsung Music version 16.2.30 is now available from the Galaxy Store. The latest update is minor but fixes “an error related to changing the album image.”

The error and how it manifests is unclear, but if you have noticed issues with your album cover art images in Samsung Music, maybe this update will address them. In the past, there have been reports of all albums showing the same album art and album covers not showing at all.

Samsung Music hasn't gotten much love lately, but the app did receive support for Android 13 last year. However, Samsung Music — which is a music playback app rather than a rival to the Apple Music platform — remains relatively basic and focused almost entirely (save the shortcut to Spotify) on playing music from your phone's storage.

If you want to update the app, you should get a notification on your Samsung phone or tablet. If you haven't already, you can open the Galaxy Store, access “Menu,” and tap “Updates” to try to update the app manually.
