In July this year, NASA announced that the agency would launch a streaming service called NASA+ where people would be able to watch space-related content, including documentaries, live coverage of missions, and original series. Back then, however, it hadn’t revealed an exact date for the launch of the video streaming service. That’s changing today. NASA has announced that it will launch NASA+ on November 08, 2023.
The best part about NASA+ is that people will be able to access it without paying any money (no subscription fee and no cost of any kind) and the video streaming service will not show users any advertisements. That’s a huge relief in a world where most streaming services require a subscription plan and/or are ad-supported. The news comes at a time when companies like Netflix are increasing the price of subscription plans day by day.
According to the agency, NASA+ will be available via the NASA app on “most major platforms”, including but not limited to Android, iOS, Apple TV (tvOS), Fire TV (Fire OS), Roku (Roku OS), and on the web. The announcement post on X (formerly known as Twitter) also reveals that the content on the video streaming service will be “family-friendly” and it will offer “Emmy-winning live shows,” putting “the universe at your fingertips”.
