Samsung has announced that it has collaborated with NHN Bugs to bring NHN Bugs’ ‘essential;’ music streaming service, which offers music playlists for various moods and occasions, to Samsung’s smart TVs in South Korea. It is available via the essential; app that you can get from the apps section.

As soon as you open the essential; app on a Samsung smart TV, it will start playing music. You will neither have to sign up for nor log in to the service to use it, making this a great option for you if you want to start listening to music without going through the hassle of signing up/logging in or searching for songs.

If you want, you can then search for a playlist on the platform that matches your taste, and click on it, and the app will start playing it. From what we could gather, essential; doesn’t allow you to search for a song. You can only play playlists on it. The app will also show visualizations while the music is playing.

Samsung says essential; will offer exclusive playlists on its TVs. essential; is also available as a channel on Samsung TV Plus in South Korea. You can access it on channel 526 for free around the clock. NHN Bugs also runs the essential; channel on YouTube where you will find playlists for every occasion.
