Samsung's Odyssey Cup esports tournament is coming to Southeast Asia for the first time. The esports tournament is based on Riot's first-person shooter game Valorant and has a prize pool of $10,000.
Valorant influencers from six Southeast Asian countries will compete in the Odyssey Cup tournament next month. The countries are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Samsung says “The goal is to create an environment where professionals, fans, and the community can come together to celebrate our shared love and passion for games.”
Prizes and Odyssey-enabled gaming experiences
Odyssey Cup will kick off on December 8, and follow-up Valorant battles are scheduled for the 9th, 10th, 16th, and 17th of the month.
Unsurprisingly, the Odyssey Cup tournament will be supported by the latest Odyssey gaming screens and monitors developed by Samsung.
Eight Valorant influencers in each country will lead Odyssey Cup and showcase their skills on the Odyssey Neo G9 curved gaming monitor and the Odyssey OLED G9.
