Samsung's Phone app has three main screens called “Keypad,” “Recents,” and “Contacts.” And as many One UI users are aware, the Phone app always opens to the screen that was last accessed by the user. But did you know there's a way to force the Phone app to always open to the dialer (keypad) screen?
Galaxy smartphone users running recent versions of One UI can set the keypad screen inside the Phone app as the default one. To do this, simply open the “Phone” app, tap the three-dot menu button in the upper-right corner, and select “Open to keypad” in the drop-down menu.
Now, whenever you open the Phone app, it will always show the keypad screen first, even if you open the app after you force-close it.
You can always revert back to the default setting by following the same steps above and selecting “Open to last viewed” at the end. Try and see which method you prefer more and feel free to let us know in the comment section below.
