One UI tip: Increase touch sensitivity when using screen protectors

Tips & Tricks

Are you using a screen protector for your Galaxy smartphone or tablet? And have you noticed a lack of responsiveness in the touchscreen ever since you applied the display protector? Worry not. There probably is a solution.

Samsung thought about display protectors and the negative effects they might have on a touchscreen's responsiveness a long while ago. Because of this, all One UI versions have a display setting called touch sensitivity, which is meant to fix any issues you might experience when using a screen protector for your Galaxy device.

How to enable touch sensitivity in One UI for Galaxy phones and tablets

As usual, it all starts by opening the Settings app on your Galaxy phone and tablet:

  • Open the Settings app on your Galaxy device
  • Go to “Display”
  • Scroll down and turn ON the “Touch sensitivity” toggle

This feature was designed specifically for use cases when display protectors might interfere with the touchscreen of a Galaxy smartphone or tablet — although it might also help increase screen responsiveness when the user is wearing gloves. Your experience might also vary depending on the quality of the screen protector you're using.
