Galaxy Watch gets software update for improved tracking accuracy
The latest software update for the Galaxy Watch bumps up the smartwatch's firmware version to R810XXU1GWE2. According to the changelog, the new update improves the performance of the sensors on the watch. That will improve the accuracy of activity and health tracking on the Galaxy Watch. No new features have been added with the new update.
It is a 34.40MB update, and it is rolling out in Switzerland and other European countries. The update might reach other countries within the next few weeks. To install the new update, open the Galaxy Wearable app on the phone that is connected to the watch, click on Watch software update, and tap Download and install.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch in mid-2018 with Tizen OS 4 onboard. The smartwatch has been updated to Tizen OS 5.5 over the years. The last major software update for the watch arrived in November 2021.
