The base Galaxy S22 and S21 are some of the most compact smartphones on the market, and they look almost the same. But are they? Well, certainly not. One would hope that Samsung wouldn't release an old flagship under an updated moniker, and indeed, the company hasn't done that. The Galaxy S22 brings some upgrades over the 2021 model, but the question remains: just how different are the Galaxy S21 and S22 anyway?
To try and find out, we're featuring the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 in a new quick-fire-style comparison video on our YouTube channel. We took a closer look at the design, display and audio, performance, software, cameras, battery, and more.
As for the conclusion, you can check our video, but in short, the Galaxy S22 takes the lead in most areas. However, you might be surprised to find out that the Galaxy S21 is just as good in other areas or even better. And whenever it does trail behind, it's not by much. In fact, one area that the Galaxy S21 handles better than the newer Galaxy S22 is battery life.
Make sure you check our Galaxy S21 vs Galaxy S22 review video below for more details. And in case you notice some inconsistencies compared to your Galaxy S21 or Galaxy S22, keep in mind that we're using the Exynos variants rather than Snapdragon.
