There have already been a lot of rumors and leaks about the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 5G. Samsung is expected to unveil these new mid-range phones in the coming weeks. It seems that everything is getting more expensive these days but that may not be the case for these devices.
Rumor has it that Samsung has cut the price of these models. While pricing tends to differ by market, it's likely that these devices will be priced a bit lower than last year's models in most major markets, providing relief to customers who've been looking for capable phones that don't break the bank.
Rumored Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 price cut is good news
The Galaxy A54 cost €490 for the 6GB RAM/128GB model and €550 for the 8GB/256GB last year, whereas the Galaxy A34 started at €390 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model and €460 for the 8GB/256GB variant.
Prices are expected to be slightly lower this year. Rumor has it that prices for the Galaxy A55 5G start at €479 for the 8GB RAM/128GB model and €529 for the 8GB/256GB storage model. The Galaxy A34 5G is similarly discounted, starting at €379 for the 6GB RAM/128GB and €449 for the 8GB/256GB models.
It appears that the prices have been trimmed by €20 compared to last year. It's not a huge margin, but it's something nonetheless, and will go a long way in further improving the market appeal of these devices. Customers who are in this segment tend to be highly price sensitive and with the mid-range Android market as competitive as ever, a price cut would serve Samsung's upcoming affordable lineup very well.
There have been a whole host of Galaxy A55 leaks and also for the Galaxy A35. However, there's no firm announcement from Samsung as yet, not even an indication, as to when these devices will be unveiled. Given that they came out by mid-March last year, it's quite possible that the official launch of these devices may not be that far off now.
