Samsung has announced that its new TVs, featuring Samsung Knox, have received the important International Common Criteria (CC) security certification. The company launched its new TV lineup last month for the year 2024, and it includes QLED TVs, Neo QLED TVs, OLED TVs, and Micro LED TVs.
The South Korean firm has been shipping smart TVs with Samsung Knox since 2015, and its TVs have been receiving the CC certification for ten years consecutively. With its 2024 TVs, Samsung once again proved that its products are secure and reliable. The CC certification is accepted internationally for testing device security and is mutually accepted by 31 countries globally.
Three features of Samsung Knox have received the CC certification:
- Knox monitors in real-time whether a TV running Tizen OS has been hacked.
- It checks the web pages you are trying to navigate to notify you if it is a phishing website and then blocks it.
- The Knox Bolt feature in QN800D and QN900D Neo QLED 8K TVs protects users' personal information.
Yongjae Kim, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, said, “Samsung Knox's security features have become stronger and safer,” and added, “We will continue to put the protection of our customers' personal information as our top priority and apply the best security technology to our products.”
