The Galaxy Note 10 is the last Note smartphone for many Samsung customers. Released in 2019 running Android 9, the Galaxy Note 10 series ran out of major OS upgrades once it received Android 12 and One UI 4.1. However, security updates are still coming in for the aging flagship, and Galaxy Note 10 customers in select markets can now apply the August 2022 security patch.
The latest update is rolling out for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ in Switzerland. It has firmware version N97xFXXU8HVGA. The August 2022 security patch detailed yesterday addresses more than 30 Samsung vulnerabilities, a few of which relate to the DeX platform.
Judging by the firmware version, the latest Galaxy Note 10 update should include more than just the August security patch. However, Samsung's online changelog tracker is often inaccurate and now keeps repeating the changelog for One UI 4.1. If you do happen to update your Galaxy Note 10 and spot any visible changes, feel free to let us know in the comment section.
Galaxy Note 10 series users in Switzerland — and soon other markets — should be able to download the new update upon receiving the notification or by opening the Settings app, accessing “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.”
Alternatively, SamMobile readers who prefer manual updates through Samsung's official Odin tool can download the latest firmware files from our website.
