Samsung has announced it is bringing Bixby to its BESPOKE AI home appliances. This will allow you to issue voice commands to those home appliances in natural language, and the appliances will understand the context. Bixby has been on Samsung's smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, and TVs for years.

Bixby brings more advanced voice commands to BESPOKE AI home appliances

Earlier today, Samsung announced it will release its AI-powered digital voice assistant, Bixby, to its BESPOKE AI series of home appliances. This upgraded digital voice assistant can understand the context, allowing easier voice commands through natural language. It can understand sentences with multiple commands, remember previous conversations, and get information about your devices.

Bixby is being rolled out to the following home appliances:

Samsung's voice assistant will be rolled out to more devices in the future.

Samsung even claims that Bixby can understand sentences that have multiple commands. For example, you can say, “Set the air conditioner to 26 degrees and finish the laundry by 5 PM,” and it will understand that it needs to turn on the AC and set its temperature to 26 degrees and that it needs to finish the washing machine's laundry cycle by 5 PM later that day.

You can also ask, “How much energy has my washing machine saved this month?” and then ask, “Oh, and what about my electricity bill?” Bixby will understand both voice commands and answer those questions one by one.

Bixby will have another neat trick up its sleeve. It will have all the information inside each appliance's user manual. So, it can offer you usage tips and information related to troubleshooting. You can ask Bixby, “How do I change my air conditioner filter?” It will understand your question and offer you all the steps to do it in person. The washing machine will tell you how to wash your baby's clothes or golf wear if you don't know how.
