There is some good news for Samsung's semiconductor chip business. Its camera sensor division has turned a profit. However, it needs to improve its Exynos chip division to make some improvements.

Samsung's ISOCELL camera sensors are helping the company with profits

Samsung's System LSI division makes ISOCELL camera sensors, Exynos processors, and other smartphone sensors. The company's president, Park Yong-in, recently told employees to take responsibility and show loyalty.

In an internal letter, they revealed that the ISOCELL camera sensor division has seen increased profits, helping the company become more profitable. Many smartphone companies, including Honor, OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi, are using Samsung's 50MP and 200MP ISOCELL camera sensors in their mid-range and high-end phones.

They also revealed that the company is currently making two flagship chips simultaneously. While they didn't reveal the names of those chips, they are likely the Exynos 2500, which will be used in the Galaxy Z Flip 7 this year, and the Exynos 2600, which could be used in the Galaxy S26 series next year.

When Samsung reshuffled its high-level executives last year, Park Yong-in maintained his position, which shows that the company believes he can turn around its semiconductor chip business. His top priority is to restore Samsung's competitiveness in the smartphone chipset segment.
