Samsung made a 75-inch 5K Color E-Paper display for stores

Samsung, one of the world's biggest display brands, has developed a giant color e-ink display that consumes near-zero power during operation. It is made for commercial use, such as in retail stores and for advertising.

At Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung showcased its new lineup of commercial displays and TVs. The new lineup includes a Color E-Paper display that consumes near-zero (0.00W) power while displaying static images, delivering ground-breaking energy efficiency.

The Color E-Paper display from Samsung is available in four sizes:

  1. 13-inch (1,600 x 1,200 pixels)
  2. 25-inch (3,200 x 1,800 pixels)
  3. 32-inch (2,560 x 1,440 pixels)
  4. 75-inch (5,120 x 2,880 pixels)

This display has 8GB storage, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, two USB Type-C ports, and a built-in 5,000mAh battery. It runs Tizen OS and has an ultra-slim and lightweight design. Retail stores and other businesses can seamlessly control content on these screens using an app.

People can remotely control Samsung's Color E-Paper displays, schedule their wake and sleep times, and set playlists with visuals. The display is made of 50% recycled plastics, while its packaging is made entirely using paper.

At the expo, Samsung also showcased the 2025 version of its Interactive Display (WAFX-P) made for educational use cases, such as classrooms. It uses software powered by Android 15 and features new AI capabilities for an improved education and collaboration experience.
