Samsung has been trying to make its products eco-friendly in multiple ways. Apart from improving its entire supply chain to make it friendlier to the environment, the company has also introduced eco-friendly accessories for its mobile devices and portable projectors. Some such eco-friendly accessories are being displayed in South Korea.

Samsung has tied up with Slash B Slash, an accessory maker, to launch eco-friendly accessories for Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy wearables, and The Freestyle projector. It has opened a pop-up store in The Hyundai Seoul, Yeouido, South Korea, to showcase ‘Eco-Friends' accessories for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and the Galaxy Watch 5. The accessories are made using more than 40% PCM (Post Consumer Material), including recycled plastic and vegan leather.

This project is being driven by young (aged in their 20s) Samsung employees. These accessories showcase the MZ generation's pursuit of valuable consumption and expressing personal tastes. The company first launched the Eco-Friends lineup of accessories at IFA 2022 and since then, expanded the availability of such accessories in over 28 countries. The accessories in the lineup are themed after Gatorade, Hello Kitty, Muzik Tiger, Pokemon, Sponge Bob, Star Wars , The Simpsons, and others.

These accessories were designed through the SMAPP (Samsung Mobile Accessories Partnership Program), which ensures quality standards for consumers and expanded retail sales options for the accessory makers. The accessories are currently showcased at a pop-up store called SLBS Studio. In addition to 39 eco-friendly accessories, 150 other mobile accessories are being displayed at the store. Visitors can even customize the accessories to suit their tastes.

To attract more customers to its pop-up store, Samsung has arranged on-site events where artists create drawings of visitors using the S Pen and sign accessories for customers. Prize draws are also being arranged to offer additional benefits to lucky buyers.
