Samsung has a knack for doing things big and bold. It recently installed the largest indoor LED Cube in all of Europe in the Swiss Life Arena. Now, France is getting a similar treatment, as the South Korean electronics giant has installed Europe's largest circular LED signage at the Futuroscope theme park in Poitiers, France.

The circular LED signage at “Chasseurs de Tornades” (Tornado Hunters) in the Futuroscope theme park would give an immersive and lifelike experience to the visitors. Samsung collaborated with Futuroscope Management and Development (FMD) to install Europe's largest 360-degree circular LED screen in France.

Samsung has been an industry leader in the global TV and digital signage market for the past 13 consecutive years. Chasseurs de Tornades is the result of four years of hard work by Samsung and the FMD team. The new attraction provides a breathtaking audiovisual experience of the story of Chasseurs de Tornades, where visitors follow a team of researchers in their all-terrain vehicle in pursuit of tornadoes.

The Samsung LED screen measures 17 meters in diameter and 8 meters in height, with a 420 square meter total surface area, making it the largest LED screen by Samsung installed in an amusement park anywhere in the world. As noted in the official blog, the Samsung LED signage installed in France consists of 800 LED cabinets from the Samsung Indoor IFR series and offers 21K resolution. It comes with HDR LED technology, high contrast, lifelike images, a peak light output of 2,400 nits, and a static contrast ratio of 12,000:1, collectively generating amazing picture quality.

The Chasseurs de Tornades attraction is equipped with a 120-seat dynamic motion theatre surrounded by a 360-degree LED screen for an immersive experience. Yannis Marchet, Development and Projects Director at FMD, said, “The contrast ratio, the image, the sharpness, it’s just incredible. An attraction like this is made to last at least 15 years, and LED is the only technology that’s durable enough.
