Samsung's Pro Plus memory cards announced in April are getting repackaged in a new bundle. Yesterday, the company revealed new plans to sell the Pro Plus series paired with a USB card reader, and the bundle is now available for sale on Samsung's online shop in Germany.
The company says the Pro Plus microSD card with USB card reader makes it easier for hobbyist photographers and videographers to transfer data from the microSD card to devices like a notebook or a PC.
The Pro Plus with USB card reader bundle is available in three storage capacity configurations. The 128GB model is the cheapest, costing €27.90. The company is also selling 256GB and 512GB Pro Plus microSDs with USB card readers for €42.90 and €75.90, respectively.
Samsung is adding a new product to its memory card portfolio next month
The new USB card reader that is already on sale on the company's website is compatible with microSD cards. But Samsung will also sell a USB card reader bundled with a full-size SD.
The company announced yesterday that the full-size SD memory card bundled with a USB card reader should go on sale during the month of June. It didn't reveal an exact date but mentioned that storage capacities would start at 64GB.
The new Pro Plus cards from Samsung can survive up to 72 hours in 1 meter of seawater and resist temperatures from -40°C to 86°C or operate in temperatures between -25°C to 85°C. They're also X-ray-proof and magnet-resistant.
