An updated version of Samsung's Expert RAW camera app has been released in the Galaxy Store. This update, which bumps the app's version number up to 2.0.10.6, went live for some users earlier this week and is now available more widely.
The changelog for Expert RAW 2.0.10.6 says that image quality has improved and errors have been fixed. Samsung doesn't go into detail about either of those changes, but as far as image quality is concerned, we can confirm that the latest version of Expert RAW lowers saturation in photos you capture.
The difference in saturation is not easy to notice unless you compare the same photo taken with the older and newer versions of the app, but there is certainly a difference as you can see in the before and after shots of the same scene below.
Whether or not you like this change will depend completely on your preferences, but remember that Expert RAW is an advanced app with plenty of shooting controls so you can modify aspects such as saturation before capturing a picture. You can also make changes in post using apps such as Adobe Lightroom or your phone's built-in image editor.
If you own a supported phone (most Galaxy flagships launched since 2020 are supported), you can download the Expert RAW update from the Galaxy Store. It's possible the update won't be available for you just yet, in which case simply check again later.
