Samsung Galaxy users can get devices repaired at Batteries Plus under warranty

Samsung has tweaked how Batteries Plus repairs Galaxy devices in the US. Batteries Plus was introduced by Samsung as an Independent Service Provider for the Galaxy repair program back in 2018. This allowed Galaxy users in the US to get their devices repaired at Batteries Plus locations that have passed their warranty period. But now that is changing.

In an expansion of its service, Samsung is allowing Batteries Plus locations in the US to repair devices that are under warranty. This means that Batteries Plus is now positioned as an Authorised Service Center, and they can also be reached out to repair complicated phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold series. Moreover, Samsung adds that Batteries Plus will repair devices in person, allowing the devices to be available on the same day in some cases.

Each Batteries Plus location will have certified technicians who are trained to carry out additional repairs apart from the normal ones. Since foldable devices contain a lot of components, having an in-house technician and being able to repair these devices in-person and locally is a win for Galaxy owners.

Samsung added that this expansion of the services will “make convenient, fast, and quality repair options accessible to more people across the country.” Currently, 35 physical Batteries Plus locations will be able to repair Galaxy devices under warranty. More locations will be added in the future. Users will be able to book their appointment on the Batteries Plus website. The expansion will commence this fall.
