Samsung released the second One UI 5.0 beta update for the Galaxy S22 series this week. As expected, it makes a few improvements and changes some things around as Samsung continues to fine-tune the overall experience that will eventually be released officially for Galaxy devices in the coming months and over the course of the next year.
This second beta update also acts as the debut of the One UI 5.0 beta program for some markets, such as the UK and India, and we decided to go hands-on with it and break down some of the changes. We've already gone into detail about a couple of them in a separate article, and now, you can check out all the stuff that's changed in our new YouTube video below.
Final One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy S22 series expected in October
Currently, Samsung is expected to release the final version of Android 13 and One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy S22 series sometime in October. If rumors are to be believed, the release could take place in the third week (possibly on October 17 or October 19), though we would be wary of such rumors as you can never tell when beta software will turn into a finished product.
It also remains to be seen when Samsung will open up One UI 5.0 testing to other devices. Judging by last year, we can expect all Galaxy flagships from at least the last two years to be included in the beta program, along with a couple of mid-range devices. We'll let you know as we learn more, so if you own a Galaxy device that's eligible for the Android 13 update, be sure to keep checking back!
