Samsung has announced that it has generated over $10,00,00,00 for its Global Goals (or Sustainable Development Goals) program through the Samsung Global Goals app. Established in 2015, Global Goals is a United Nations initiative, supported by 193 nations, to solve seventeen global issues, including poverty, health care, education, gender equality, and climate change by 2030.
To help Global Goals achieve its vision, Samsung partnered with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and launched the Samsung Global Goals app for Android in 2019, which allows you to donate money for any of the seventeen causes the Global Goals program aims to solve. You can donate as little as $1 to support any Global Goal using in-app payment methods.
Raise money to end poverty just by watching advertisements
Donating money directly isn’t the only way you can raise money through this app. Samsung has integrated advertisements in the Samsung Global Goals app, and money generated from showing these ads goes directly to the cause. Even more impressive is that Samsung has pledged to match donations (up to $5,00,00,00) generated through ads in the app to help the cause even further. For example, if you raise $5 in the app by clicking on ads, Samsung will contribute an additional $5 on your behalf.
So, if you find it difficult to donate money directly, you can turn on the option in the app to watch ads and click on them to raise money for the cause. You will then have the option to choose any of the seventeen causes to donate the money that you have generated. According to the brand, the Samsung Global Goals app is installed on nearly 300 million Galaxy devices worldwide. Unfortunately, the app is still not available for iOS. If Samsung launches the app for iPhone, it could raise much more money for the cause.
You can download the Samsung Global Goals app from Play Store and do your part in helping Global Goals work towards a better world.
