Samsung has partnered with the blockchain-powered online platform Terrain.art to enrich the Art Store on The Frame lifestyle TV in India. Samsung is releasing new contemporary artwork, adding to the existing 2100+ digital art pieces that The Frame TV users can acquire through the Art Store.
Samsung says that the latest collection of contemporary artworks created by young Indian artists tell a new story on folk art, textile traditions, monuments, diversity, and more. The art pieces stand out through vibrant colors, lines that were drawn with care, and bold brush strokes.
Samsung's Art Store is an evergrowing platform
According to the recent announcement, the contemporary artwork collection is expressed in a variety of artistic languages and covers different themes, from futurism and hope to ecology and migration.
As for Samsung's partner in this endeavor, Terrain.art is a blockchain-powered online platform whose goal is to build “a global ecosystem underlining the best art practices from South Asia.” Samsung doesn't go into further detail and doesn't say anything about whether or not these new art pieces available through the Art Store are NFTs.
Technically speaking, Samsung lifestyle TVs support NFT transactions The company added NFT buying and selling capabilities to its TVs last year through Nifty Gateway, and a few months later, Samsung announced that a dedicated ArtToken NFT TV app was also coming.
