Samsung has released a new update for the Samsung Internet browser. The new version of Samsung Internet doesn't bring any new features, unlike some of the previous updates the app has received over the last few months, but focuses on bug fixes and general improvements.
According to Samsung, version 23.0.1.1 fixes an issue that stopped external apps from launching when trying to make payments on some websites. It doesn't seem to have been a widespread issue, but the fix can be considered critical given how often people make online payments these days. The latest version of the app also brings stability and performance improvements.
Samsung Internet continues to be one of the most popular browser apps available for Android, helped partly by the fact that it's one of the few Samsung apps that works on all Android devices. From support for ad-blockers to features like anti-tracking, Samsung Internet is packed with a lot of useful features that aren't available on browsers like Google Chrome.
It's not perfect, but Samsung has consistently been releasing updates to tackle aspects of the app that are lacking compared to competing browsers, including basic functionality such as browsing history or autocompleting the names of previously visited websites. If you haven't tried out Samsung Internet but want to do so, you can download it from the Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store.
