Samsung's first Bespoke Edition smartphone was the Galaxy Z Flip 3, and the next device in line to receive the Bespoke treatment could be the Galaxy S22. Samsung is pondering whether or not it should release a Galaxy S22 Bespoke Edition next month, with a new report saying that the company has already entertained a few color options for the device.
It's unclear whether the Bespoke Edition model will be based on the Galaxy S22, the S22+, or the Galaxy S22 Ultra; however, the company would presumably pick only one variant rather than making the entire series Bespoke. Or it could go all in with all three variants. We just don't know yet.
According to a recent rumor from Naver, the Galaxy S22 Bespoke Edition will be available in similar color options as the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke. This includes five colors for the back panel and two color options for the frame. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 offers a total of 49 color combinations because the back panels can be mixed and matched, but the Galaxy S22 is a non-foldable phone and doesn't have two back panels. With that in mind, the Galaxy S22 Bespoke Edition could be offered in 10 color combinations or more.
Samsung is still on the fence about the S22 Bespoke
Whether or not Samsung will offer a Bespoke Edition for the Galaxy S22 is unclear. The tech giant is reportedly entertaining the idea, but it has yet to reach a final decision. Bespoke Editions are costlier to manufacture because they aren't churned out in huge quantities, but then again, the Galaxy S22 could offer fewer color combinations than the ambitious Z Flip 3.
In any case, Bespoke Edition devices are usually limited to a few markets, and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 was no exception. So, if Samsung is going to release a Galaxy S22 Bespoke Edition next month, it may do so only in a handful of key markets. We'll keep you posted.
