Last month, Samsung repackaged its latest Pro Plus microSD cards and released a product bundle consisting of the Pro Plus memory card and a USB card reader. The company created the package to make it easier for notebook and PC users to transfer data cross-device via USB. In addition, the company announced it would release another bundle featuring a USB card reader and a full-size Pro Plus memory card in June. Now, that product bundle is available in Europe.
The full-size Pro Plus SD cards with USB card readers are available in three storage configurations: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Samsung says they are now available online, at least in Germany. They cost €29.90, €45.90, and €78.90, respectively.
A great accessory for Galaxy Book users
Performance-wise, the full-size SD cards are just as good as the Pro Plus microSD models. They boast V30 speed class for high-resolution 4K video recordings, and they have an A2 classification, which means they offer fast response and loading times for apps. The full-size SD cards top 180MB/s and 130MB/s read and write speeds.
Aside from these high-end specifications, the Pro Plus series of memory cards are also built to last and can withstand some serious abuse. They offer protection from water, extreme temperature, shocks, falls, magnetic fields, and X-rays (up to 100 mGy, or the equivalent of an airport X-ray scanner). Samsung says the cards can last at temperatures between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius but can operate at temps between -25 and 85 degrees.
