Samsung is still in the process of rolling out the May 2024 security patch to some low-end smartphones and tablets. However, it has already released the details regarding the June 2024 security patch.
June 2024 security patch fixes 59 security vulnerabilities in Galaxy devices
The June 2024 security patch includes fixes for 59 vulnerabilities discovered in previous software versions. This update will make Galaxy smartphones and tablets more secure. It includes 40 security fixes from Google.
37 of those fixes are marked as ‘High' priority, while two do not apply to Galaxy devices. Samsung also skipped a fix that it already provided to its devices with the May 2024 update.
There are 22 fixes that only apply to Galaxy smartphones and tablets. One is marked as ‘Critical,' and four are listed as ‘High' priority. On Samsung's security bulletin webpage, eight security fixes are termed' Moderate.'
The June 2024 security update should start rolling out to most high-end Galaxy smartphones in the next few days. Some regions will get the update sooner than others. High-end phones and tablets will be updated ahead of most mid-range and entry-level devices.
