Samsung recently held the Odyssey Unwrapped event at its flagship store, Samsung 837, which is located in New York, to celebrate the Samsung Season of Gaming. To present the event, Samsung teamed up with Jack “CouRage” Dunlop, a popular content creator on YouTube and co-owner of 100 Thieves, an e-sports organization and a lifestyle brand.
The event was free and open to the public. People who were interested in attending the event had the option to register for it in advance, and the first fifty people who signed up for the event got a seat at the auditorium, an option to meet CouRage in person, and received an item signed by him along with a Samsung swag bag. Samsung also accepted select walk-ins at the event.
People attending the event also got to play games with CouRage on Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors, including the Odyssey Ark. During the event, CouRage streamed live on YouTube from Samsung’s gaming booth at the store, playing Fortnite on the company’s Odyssey gaming monitor. CouRage also gave away Samsung vouchers worth $500 during the live stream.
According to the company, 2022 was an “exceptional year for Samsung’s Odyssey monitor lineup” as the company launched three high-end gaming monitors this year: Odyssey Ark, Odyssey Neo G7, and Odyssey Neo G8. At the launch of AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT, Samsung also announced that it would soon launch the next generation of Odyssey G9 gaming monitor.
