Samsung’s foldable phones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, come with a pre-applied screen protector. If this screen protector wears out or gets damaged, users can’t just peel it off and apply a new one. However, Samsung says that removing the screen protector at home may damage the screen.
The company advises users to get the screen protector replaced at an authorized service center. In other words, it forces people to use these phones with screen protectors.
In a few countries around the globe, including the US, the UK, and Australia, the tech giant offers a replacement for this screen protector for free. The offer can be availed once during the ownership of the device. It is applicable on all foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
Samsung is extending its free screen protector offer to Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 in South Korea
In South Korea, however, Samsung charges customers for the replacement of the screen protector. Ideally, that shouldn’t be the case. That’s because a brand can’t force customers to use phones with screen protectors and also charge them for it at the same time. The whole scenario made users unhappy. Well, they can now breathe a sigh of relief as Samsung has extended the one-time screen protector replacement offer to South Korea. Unfortunately, it is valid only on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
The announcement was made on Samsung’s community forum for South Korea. According to the post, the offer is applicable to devices purchased till August 31, 2023.
To get this offer, people have to grab the coupon that will appear in the Samsung Members app on their smartphones. This coupon will be valid till August 31, 2024, at any authorized Samsung service center. You can find more details about the latest offer on the community forum page. We hope Samsung extends this offer to older devices as well.
