Samsung Email is getting a new update, and for a change, it doesn't seem to be just a routine release. The changelog, vague as it may be, mentions some user experience changes and improvements.
The Email app is getting updated to version 6.1.80.16. It's available through the Galaxy Store but doesn't seem to be rolling out everywhere. It appears to be a gradual release, and some regions will get the update ahead of others.
As to what's new with this latest version, the changelog mentions a handful of changes, some of which are more under the hood. It reads as follows:
- Stabilize and integrate UX globally
- Improve functions by updating SDKs
- Remove not required permissions
Exactly what Samsung means by stabilizing and integrating the user experience globally is unclear. But if we find something out of the ordinary once we receive the update, we'll let you know.
The functions improved by the updated SDKs (Software Development Kits) are also unspecified, but these changes might not affect the end user directly, given that they're targeting SDKs. They might improve things for developers.
