Samsung was the largest TV maker globally in 2023, making it the 18th consecutive year the company has been the largest TV brand around the world. Now, the tech giant has set a new TV sales record in its home country, South Korea.

Samsung has announced that the sales of the company’s ultra-large TVs, the ones with a size of 75 inches and above, in South Korea have increased by 40% this year (from January 2024 to June 2024) compared to the same period last year (from January 2023 to June 2023). Furthermore, Samsung says that the sales of the company’s OLED TVs in its home country have increased by three times this year compared to last year.

The story continues after the video…

According to Samsung, main factors contributing to increased sales of these TVs are the features they offer for improving the image and audio quality, including the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, 8K AI Upscaling Pro, AI Motion Enhancement Pro, Active Voice Pro, and SmartThings’ AI Savings Mode, which people have liked quite a lot. It would be interesting to see how Samsung does in the TV market in the United States.
