Samsung has launched a new high-end monitor lineup: ViewFinity S8. Monitors in this lineup are made for content creators and professionals who require color accuracy and flexibility to get their work done as efficiently as possible. The ViewFinity S8 comes in 27-inch (S61B) and 32-inch (S80PB) sizes and has 4K resolution.

These monitors will be available starting today in South Korea. The 27-inch version is priced at KRW 720,000 (around $558), while the 32-inch version costs KRW 820,000 (around $635) in South Korea. For other markets, Samsung hasn't revealed launch dates and pricing.

ViewFinity S8 monitors are color accurate, have plenty of ports

Both monitors use an IPS LCD panel with 4K resolution. Both models offer a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms grey-to-grey response time. They can cover up to 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, support up to 1.07 billion colors, and come with HDR10+ compatibility. The 27-inch variant has DisplayHDR 400 certification, while the 32-inch version has DisplayHDR 600 certification.

Both models have one HDMI 2.0 port, one DisplayPort, one Ethernet port, one USB Type-C port, and a USB 3.0 hub with three downstream ports. That USB Type-C port also supports up to 90W USB Power Delivery to charge connected laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

    Samsung ViewFinity S8 Monitor Anti-Glare

Samsung has equipped ViewFinity S8 monitors with stands that offer pivot, swivel, and tilt

These monitors have a height-adjustable stand that can tilt, swivel, and pivot the screen. You can attach the ViewFinity S8 to a wall or your own monitor arm, thanks to VESA 100×100 mount. Samsung also says it used repurposed materials made from ocean-bound plastics to make some parts of its ViewFinity S8 monitors.

The ViewFinity S8 lineup uses a matte finish on the display panel for a glare-free viewing experience. The monitors in the new series have UL certification for anti-glare performance. They are also PANTONE Validated and PANTONE SkinTone Validated for color accuracy. Samsung has also implemented technologies that make the monitors flicker-free and reduce blue light.

Hyesung Ha, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, “ViewFinity is the summation of Samsung's goal to deliver the most precise and functional monitors to businesses who require pinpoint accuracy and consistency throughout their work. We are proud to offer this monitor to designers, artists, and professionals who will use our technology to create new ideas and experiences that realize their full potential.
