In an official blog, Samsung announced that it has won 50 awards at the world-renowned international design competition ‘IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards) 2023. This is noticeably the highest number of awards ever for a company at IDEA. Samsung grabbed a total of 50 awards, including 1 silver prize, 3 bronze prizes, and 46 prizes (finalists).
The IDEA 2023 Awards were given to Samsung Electronics for various innovations from products such as home appliances, TVs, and smartphones to UX services. IDEA has been hosted by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) since 1980. It awards prizes based on innovation, user experience, and contribution to society.
This year winners were awarded from 20 categories, including industrial products, consumer technology, digital interaction, and design strategy. Samsung's Bespoke Air Dresser was awarded the Silver prize for its various functionalities and customizability. Other Bespoke Appliances such as water purifiers, washing machines/dryers, and robot vacuum cleaners received bronze awards. Samsung Neo QLED TV, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Book 3 Pro were also awarded the Finalists Awards for their premium and innovative designs.
