Samsung has officially announced that it will be hosting its first-ever 6G forum online on Friday, i.e., today, where it will discuss the future of communication technologies. The forum will have multiple sessions, each consisting of talks by academic and industry experts. Last month, the company announced that it will be holding its first-ever 6G forum in May, and the time has finally arrived.
This 6G forum has been titled “The Next Hyper-Connected Experience for All,” where industry experts will give presentations and will also include a panel discussion on the topic of 6G air interface and AI-based intelligent networks for 6G.
Sebastian Seung, President, and Head of Samsung Research said, “We believe that it is the right time to start preparing for 6G. Shaping 6G will require many years, as we have seen with previous generations, and will need lots of discussion and collaborations among players in industry and academia.”
At the 6G forum, there will be a morning session, which is titled “6G Air Interface,” while the afternoon session will be under the theme, “Intelligent Network for 6G.” The forum will also be live telecasted on Samsung’s official YouTube channel.
