It's the first day of the month, and a new Samsung Health global challenge has just kicked off. More than 650,000 Samsung Health users are participating in this month's event, and so can you.
The December challenge is called simply Snow. Participants can explore Snow Island by joining the global challenge and reaching milestones.
How to join this month's Samsung Health challenge
To participate in the December challenge, all you need is a Galaxy phone with Samsung Health installed. A smartwatch is not necessary. You can use your Galaxy phone to count steps. However, a wrist wearable like the Galaxy Watch 6 can help you with more accurate tracking.
To join the challenge, open Samsung Health on your phone, access the “Together” tab, select the December challenge, and tap the “Join” button. Your steps will now count toward goals, and you can view your progress on the Snow Island map. You can also view global rankings and compare your performance with friends.
The December challenge has two rounds. In Round 1:
- Get stars by reaching them in time.
- Complete health missions for bonus challenge points.
- Reach the finish line as fast as possible for a chance to earn a special badge.
In Round 2, participants can:
- Increase steps and break personal records.
- Earn bonus challenge points by reaching the top 10% and 30% of participants. The top 3 participants get extra challenge points.
