A strange bug is taking over Galaxy A51 smartphones in the Netherlands whenever they connect to the Wi-Fi networks of the nation's largest supermarket chain Albert Heijn.
The issue was brought to light on the official Samsung Community forums by numerous Galaxy A51 customers in the Netherlands, and a permanent fix has yet to be found (via GalaxyClub).
More specifically, Galaxy A51 users in the Netherlands complain about their phones rebooting whenever they connect to the Wi-Fi network offered by the Albert Heijn supermarket chain.
Resetting the Galaxy A51's network settings (Settings » General Management » Reset » Reset Network Settings) doesn't seem to help, and whenever it does, it's only temporary.
Some speculate that the ‘Albert Heijn bug' affecting the Galaxy A51 in the Netherlands could be related to a known bug that causes other Galaxy devices powered by the Exynos 9610 and 9611 chipsets to reboot mysteriously.
The Galaxy A51 has yet to receive Android 12 in the Netherlands, and it's unclear whether the update will address the Alber Heijn bug once it rolls out. The new firmware is available in other countries.
It certainly sounds like a strange bug because it seemingly affects only Galaxy A51 customers in these specific circumstances, but let us know if you're experiencing similar problems with your Samsung phone when connecting to Wi-Fi networks in other locations.
