Last week, Samsung announced its new Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable phones at Unpacked 2022. Now we have the opportunity to unbox and set up these brand-new devices for the first time, and we're sharing that experience with our readers and subscribers.

You can check out our two new unboxing and setup videos for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 on our YouTube channel or by clicking the videos below. You'll get to learn about the contents of the retail boxes (which don't include wall chargers, in case you're wondering), as well as the setup process.

Unboxing the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4

Our unboxing videos feature the Bora Purple Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the oddly named “Graygreen” Galaxy Z Fold 4. They're both stunning in their own ways, and the mechanical hinge on both phones is just as satisfying as ever.

Samsung's new foldable phones are now available for pre-order, and customers can choose from four color options for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 (Burgundy is an online-only option) and four colors for the Z Flip 4. However, the Z Flip 4 is also available in a Bespoke Edition in select markets, giving customers 75 color combinations from which to choose.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is available for the starting price of $1,799, while the Galaxy Z Flip 4 allows customers to experience Samsung's premium foldable display technology for $999.

Check out our unboxing and first setup videos below for a closer look at these new Samsung foldable phones. Say tuned for more news and reviews, and feel free to join the conversation. Will you be buying either one of these new foldable smartphones? And if the answer is “yes,” which one is your first pick and why?
