WhatsApp recently announced the addition of a slew of new voice messaging features, including the ability to pause or resume voice message recordings, waveform visualization, out-of-chat playback, and so on.
Cut to now, the company has added, or rather, completely revamped, the camera interface. This new WhatsApp camera interface is visible to users who have installed the Android beta app.
This camera interface is not entirely new to WhatsApp. Notably, it was previously available on iOS for months. It is just that the new camera interface is going live for Android users, and that too, in beta.
As per the latest report by WABetaInfo, some WhatsApp beta users are seeing the updated camera interface. The new interface includes a totally new look for the media picker.
The WhatsApp camera media bar has not been removed, as it was planned during the development of the new interface. The new WhatsApp camera interface and redesigned media picker features are already live for WhatsApp beta users, but it remains to be seen when the stable version of the app will get them.
