One of the angles Samsung has taken to highlight the awesomeness of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is its larger cover display. Galaxy Z Flips have always been good for hands-free photos and selfies thanks to their ability to fold halfway through and show you a preview on the cover screen, and the Z Flip 5 enhances that hands-free experience thanks to the cover screen's considerably larger surface area.
The Z Flip 5 also has a new hinge that allows it to fold without leaving a gap. However, not everyone has been kind to the Galaxy Z Flip 5's design, especially when taking the folder-shaped cover display into account. But, if we're being honest, folks have been overly harsh. The Z Flip 5 is one sexy phone, which is evident the moment you lay eyes on it in the real world.
Yes, flip-style foldables aren't everyone's cup of tea, but preferences aside, those who think the Galaxy Z Flip 5 isn't beautiful are living in denial at this point. Even the odd folder-shaped cover display lends a hand here as it looks quite fancy while also being much more useful than the cover displays on older Galaxy Z Flip smartphones.
The all black bezel around the cover display is another neat touch. When the cover display turns off, the entire upper half of the phone turns completely black and that looks extremely appealing. Basically, when the cover display isn't turned on, the Z Flip 5 turns into a nice little mirror for the times you want to do a quick makeup or hair check.
