Samsung seems to be working really hard on the Android 13 One UI 5.0 update

With the release of the official Android 13 and One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy S22 series in many markets around the world in October, Samsung impressed us all. This is the fastest we've seen a new version of Android (and Samsung's custom skin) come to a Galaxy smartphone.

If the company's Android 13 and One UI 5.0 schedule in some markets proves to be accurate, we could see many, many more devices getting the update before 2022 is over. And there's a good reason to suspect that Samsung will actually be able to accomplish those goals: none of its devices seem to have been (officially) updated with the November Android security patch yet.

As most of you will be aware, Samsung, Google, and others release a new security patch for their Android smartphones every month, and more often than not, Samsung tends to be the quickest manufacturer to do so. We've seen it roll out new security patches way ahead of time quite often, but this time around, the Korean giant doesn't seem to be in a rush.

And we can only surmise that it's because Samsung is working hard to make sure it can get Android 13 and One UI 5.0 stable for eligible Galaxy devices as quickly as it can. Which is great to see, if we're being honest, because again, it could mean that a lot of Galaxy devices could get the major new upgrade before 2022 comes to an end.

Millions of Samsung customers could be enjoying the One UI 5.0 goodness before 2023

Basically, all the goodies One UI 5.0 (along with Android 13) brings to the table could reach nearly a hundred million Samsung customers before 2023. One UI 5.0 is one of the biggest updates to Samsung's proprietary user interface in a long, long time, and to think the company is not using that as an excuse to delay its release is another example of how serious Samsung takes these updates.

All that said, we will still have to wait and see when the stable version of Android and One UI will reach the next Galaxy device (right now only the Galaxy S22 series has been updated). After all, assuming deadlines is never a good idea where updates are concerned, even if they're coming from a manufacturer that's proven its mettle time and time again.

But hey, you can always bookmark this page to find out when the update starts rolling out to a new Galaxy smartphone. And to further whet your appetite, the videos below show what kind of features you can expect when Android 13/One UI 5.0 eventually arrives on your device, so hit the play button and enjoy! Finally, our initial impressions of One UI 5.0 might also interest you, so do give those a read, too.
