Short on time? Walk into your local store and gift someone a Samsung wearable!

Samsung makes a lot of products in different segments, many of which work together to create an ecosystem that's hard to get out of once you've gotten into it. Samsung's Galaxy Buds series of wireless earbuds and the company's smartwatches are great examples of devices that work in tandem with Galaxy smartphones to improve your day-to-day experience.

As Christmas gets closer and closer and you have yet to purchase gifts for your loved ones (or for yourself), this might be a good time to run to your local electronics store and quickly pick up one of those Samsung wearables.

Samsung's got plenty of options to choose from in both categories. In smartwatches, you can pick up a Galaxy Watch 5 or Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, or if you're looking to same some cash, last year's Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will serve just as well, even though their battery life is not as great as their successors and they miss out on features like a temperature sensor.

These watches all run Google's Wear OS, which means app compatibility is excellent, and they have some modern specs underneath, including Samsung's super-quick Exynos W920 chipset that leaves the Snapdragon chip(s) used in smartwatches from other brands in the dust when it comes to performance and efficiency.

When it comes to earbuds, the net of options stretches a little wider, even though the ones you are actually able to find still selling in a store can vary. The Galaxy Buds Pro 2 are the latest wireless earbuds from Samsung, and we would recommend getting those. Remember, the price difference between these wireless earbuds isn't that huge, so getting the latest ones probably won't hurt your bottom line all that much.

Naturally, you can always just buy a new flagship Galaxy phone — like the excellent Galaxy Z Flip 4 – to gift to someone or to yourself, although that's not something we recommend in this turbulent financial period unless you really need a new phone. The wearables, on the other hand, won't eat into your bank balance as much, and making the right choice between them is also considerably quicker and easier.

For a more detailed breakdown of what Samsung products you can pick up this Christmas, be sure to check out our 2022 holiday gift guide, which has recommendations for purchases in various different categories from the Korean giant.
