Samsung may be busy with launching the third-generation of its 7 and 10-inch Galaxy Tabs right now, but it has also taken the time out to launch the Student Edition of last year's Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Wi-Fi, which comes with both keyboard and dock accessories, all under a price tag of $349.99.
The Student Edition will be sold through a number of stores in the United States, in a white color option, which isn't available in the standard Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. The tablet also comes with some goodies preloaded, including Polaris Office Suite, 50GB of free Dropbox storage for a year, and three-month Hulu Plus subscription (you know, for watching some movies and TV shows online when you're not using the device for student duties).
As for the specs, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 sports a 10.1-inch PLS LCD display of 1280 x 800 resolution, 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB of RAM, 3.15-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 16GB of storage and a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and A-GPS connectivity, a 7,000mAh battery, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. If everything turns out well, it will possibly get an update to Android 4.2.2 later this year.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition can be bought from Best Buy, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Toys ‘R’ Us, BJ’s, P.C. Richard & Son or Office Max.
