Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite last month with a design and hardware that was eerily similar to that of the Galaxy Tab 3. The tablet was launched in black and white color variants, but it looks like Samsung is set to introduce the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in three new colors: Blue Green / Peach Pink and Lemon Yellow. The presence of these images on Samsung’s official site means that an announcement isn’t far away. Samsung's Latin American site already lists 5 colors for the Tab 3 Lite. Not much is known about the availability of these color variants in other regions.
In terms of the hardware, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is a watered-down version of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3. The screen quality is the same as both devices feature a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. The camera on the Tab 3 Lite is slightly lower at 2 MP to the 3.15 MP on the Tab 3. Otherwise, both devices come with 8 GB internal storage, 1 GB RAM, dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB 2.0 connectivity. The battery on the Tab 3 Lite is slightly smaller at 3600 mAh. The tablet is the most affordable Samsung tablet you can get, but at €190 ($260), it isn’t exactly good value for money.
