A 7-inch smartphone is a common sight in a market like India and Samsung is trying to make it mainstream in the home market with the introduction of Galaxy W. The device, as suspected, seems to be the Galaxy Mega 2 for the Korean market. The Galaxy W has a 7-inch 720p HD display, features voice calling functionality and offers a good grip, unlike other 7-inch devices out in the market.

The phone features a faux leather design just like the Galaxy Note 3 and comes with LTE-A support, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, microSD slot up to 64GB and 3200mAh battery.

On the software side, the Galaxy W runs Android 4.3 OS with software features like landscape mode, Multi Window, Pop up Play.

The phone will sell via SKT for 499,400 won in black, white and red colours.
