Android 4.4 KitKat update starts rolling out for Galaxy S4 Mini Duos

The Galaxy S4 Mini Duos GT-I9192 has started receiving Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA update but it is currently limited to Russia, though, you can download the update (software build I9192XXUCNG2) and flash your device manually. It's quite puzzling to see that Samsung has released the KitKat update for Galaxy S4 Mini Duos and Galaxy S4 Mini Black Edition but the original Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9190 is still stuck on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Hopefully Samsung releases the KitKat update for Galaxy S4 Mini sooner than later.

Android KitKat brings general performance improvements as well as streamlined UI design with white status bar icons, expanded emojis, closed captions support for videos and full-screen album art on the lockscreen. With the new update, the device should also start supporting wireless printing.
